I did not hear Venom until about 1984 and Welcome To Hell was pretty much my introduction to this whack ass band. Being a directionless heavy metal teenager, of course I went head first into being a Venom fan. This album is a basically a mess, but it remains excellent and massively important in the evolution of metal. I love Venom!
1981 Italian pressing on Neat Records/Base Record. I picked this up in 1985 or so at a place called 2nd Time Around in Seattle as a broke teenager and paid the $2.50 indicated on the price tag. Despite the beating this album has been through, it plays perfectly clean. I own a much cleaner looking 1985 US reissue on Combat Records and this copy remains my go to when I need to hear this album.
