As Mountain was dissolving towards their first breakup, Leslie West and Corky Laing connected with former Cream bassist/singer Jack Bruce to form West, Bruce & Laing. The band’s existence was brief, but they did manage to produce two studio albums along with one live effort. Why Dontcha is their first and it’s pretty damn good… very much within the framework of what a person much expect a Mountain & Cream collaboration to sound like.
