Well, fast forward to 1982 and Arthur Brown has dropped a pretty wild little album with Requiem. Very much embraces the 1980s minimalist, digital aesthetics, but there something deeper going on here too. There are passages that almost remind me of 1990s Swans or even late 80s industrial music. Fascinating album and dare I say, it’s pretty good.
1982 US pressing on Republic Records. I feel like I picked this up at a record show for like $3 and didn’t know what to make of it at first.
