The first Black Widow album was somewhat controversial for its time. The band utilized heavily satanic overtones on their first album and were known for conducting a mock sacrifice during their stage shows, including a nude female dancer and eventual victim. However, much like Black Sabbath, the band were not actual satanists and found they were getting a lot of unwanted attention from folks in those circles. They dialed that back a bit as they continued. Anyway, this debut album is great heavy prog with occult vibes all over the place.
2005 Italian reissue on Get Back. Picked up at a record show a few years back and it’s perfectly good to go.
