I had a point in my late 20s when I went all in on 1970s prog and heavy rock… beyond the usual bands. Struggled with where to start with Camel but lucked upon Mirage and Moonmadness first, and they are superb. Less hard edged than a lot of the progressive rock I listen to, but that’s a good thing. Mirage, in particular, is a beautiful album and definitely worth a listen.
1974 US pressing on Passport Records. Not sure why the US pressing has such radically different (and a bit goofy) artwork, but I like it. The original Camel cigarettes replica cover is nice though (added below, for reference).
