Candlemass needs no introduction. Essential doom metal glory, right here. The band is only partially formed at this point with only bassist/mainman Leif Edling, guitarist Mappe Bkörkman, and drummer Matz Ekström. The album also features session players; guitarist Klaus Bergwall and singer Johan Längquist who would eventually join the band full time, but not until many years later. Fantastic debut LP.
2010 UK reissue on Peaceville Records and it’s great.
