A massively important traditional doom metal album! After the attention they received from Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, Candlemass completed their classic lineup with guitarist Lars Johansson, drummer Jan Lindh, and vocalist extraordinaire Messiah Marcolin, who, in some ways, was the the best singer this band ever had. What a set of pipes! Fantastic album on every level.
1988 US pressing on Metal Blade Records and it’s near mint. Got this and Ancient Dreams at a record show together and they are both excellent.
