The feel of this album is very similar to its studio predecessor Rockpommel’s Land, and make no mistake, the album sounds great! Alas, the material isn’t quite as inspired and less memorable as a result. The band would opt for a different sound on future efforts, making this sort of Grobschnitt’s final album of whimsical fantasy space prog. Worth your time if you are already a Grobschnitt fan. If not, I recommend starting with the aforementioned Rockpommel’s Land, Ballerman, or Solar Music Live.
1979 German pressing on Brain and its mint.
