Whew, where to start with this album? First thing I noticed is that the recording quality here is like a good bootleg and less like an official release… especially compared to the band’s superb 2xLP live release from ‘75. However, the quality is still within the acceptable range and the performances and song selections are insanely good! There are a number of tracks on this album that didn’t get recorded in the studio until 2005, so at the time this was a legit collection of rare cuts. Still a fantastic spin and I play it often.
1977 French pressing on Tapioca. Landed this at Human Head Records in Brooklyn a few years back and still stoked about it.
