Corrosion Of Conformity - Deliverance (1994)

After dipping into a low profile status between 1988-1990, COC came back heavy with 1991’s Blind, leaning into their metal influences. Deliverance debuts what is pretty much the most accomplished and commercially successful era of the band. Bassist Mike Dean returns to his rightful place in the band and Pepper Keenan move from simply second guitarist to also taking on vocalist duties full time. This four piece lineup is on fire and Deliverance launches them to a level that they’ve never been before. Saw them in ‘94 just as this was coming out at a tiny bar in Seattle called Moe and it was absolutely epic.

Original 1994 US pressing on Columbia. Found at a record show (in 1994$ on the cheap and it’s mint.
