I have a lot of gaps in my Esoteric vinyl collection, but I’m really happy to own this one. Metamorphogenesis was the first Esoteric album I got into, and it remains one of my favorites. The band delivers what some might call funeral doom metal—moving at the pace of geological time and heavier than a planet. Crushing, tragic, and psychedelic. Amazing stuff!
2020 UK reissue on Aesthetic Death/Eibon Records and it’s a certified beast.
