Guru Guru’s UFO, released in 1970, is one of the more out there albums in the early Krautrock genre, blending elements of psychedelic rock, experimental noise, and free jazz. Led by eccentric drummer Mani Neumeier, the band explores sonic landscapes that are chaotic, hypnotic, and spacey, I’ve been familiar with Guru Guru for ages, but just recently picked up this LP in anticipation of digging in a bit more.
