Still Life is Opeth’s fourth full-length album, showcasing significant progression in both writing and execution. Founders Åkerfeldt and Lindgren remain, but the addition of bassist Martin Méndez and drummer Martin Lopez has elevated the band’s sound, creating a more accomplished and stable lineup. The album is beautifully heavy and highly progressive—a landmark release for the band.
