It’s 1985, and Pentagram is finally delivering their debut album, despite having existed in one form or another since at least 1972! The band has undergone plenty of lineup changes but managed to secure two classic eras during their long-running, tumultuous run. The album showcases the band’s signature blend of heavy, Sabbath-inspired riffs and dark, brooding atmosphere, driven by Bobby Liebling’s raw, haunting vocals.
203 UK reissue on Peaceville Records. Seen reports of this being a noisy pressing (sometimes), but my particular copy is clean as can be. Absolutely legendary album.
