Finnish doom merchants Unholy were among the bands I discovered during my digital music hoarding days circa the early 2000s. I had initially gravitated to their third album “Rapture” but then hit the rest of their discography, which is brief. The Second Ring Of Power is their second and shows the band already incorporating layered subtleties and female vocals into their crushing doom sound. These fellas are very unique and of course, excellent.
2011 UK 2xLP reissue on Peaceville Records… also the first time this one has been issued on vinyl and it’s great.
