La Nòvia is a captivating reinterpretation of a traditional Occitan folk song, bringing together cosmic psychedelia and drone to create an intense sonic journey. The album features sprawling compositions that blend hypnotic guitar riffs, electronic textures, and ritualistic chanting, that these lunatics are known for. I only have small handful of Acid Mothers Temple albums on vinyl (they have a massive discography), but this one easily ranks as one of my favorites. If you’re ready for a heady journey, this could be for you.
