Candlemass - Live (1990)

Live captures the Swedish doom metal band at their 1980s peak form. Recorded during their 1989 European tour, the live set features classic doom cuts such as “Solitude,” “Mirror Mirror,” and “Dark Are the Veils of Death.” Front and center are the powerful vocals of Messiah Marcolin and the band’s intricate, haunting riffs, embodying the essence of doom metal in a raw, energetic form. This live release will be the band’s final album with Messiah Marcolin before he quits the band (for the first time) in 1991… While Candlemass mainman Leif Edling will continue to produce excellent music, the 1990s will prove to be a rough decade for these Swedish purveyors of fine doom.

2014 German reissue from Metal Blade Records.
