The Law marked a stylistic shift from Exhorder’s debut, incorporating more groove metal elements while retaining their thrash metal roots. Still, it’s a pretty thrash affair overall and definitely captures the spirit of where thrash metal was heading in 1992, for better or worse. In this case, the album rips, so my take is “for the better”, although I still prefer Slaughter In The Vatican. Solid effort album, regardless of style.
2022 European reissue from Music On Vinyl and it’s a beauty.
