Tangerine Dream - Le Parc (1985)

Le Parc marked a shift for Tangerine Dream toward a more accessible, melodic sound while retaining the band’s original vibe. Each track on the album is inspired by a different park or city around the world, capturing unique atmospheres through lush, synthesized soundscapes. With pieces like “Central Park” and “Gaudi Park,” the album explores ambient, rhythmic elements that evoke the essence of these locations. I’ve only listened to this one a little bit, but do find it to be a good listen.

1985 US pressing on Relatively, which was a serious thrash metal label in the 1980, hah. I had no idea that they carried artists outside of the metal/punk scene back then. Good record, but my copy has a terrible gouge in the middle of the b-side, basically rendering it as shit… just bought it yesterday, so bummed I missed that flaw when I bought it. So goes the journey, hah.
