The Legacy is the debut album by San Francisco thrashers Testament. The band had already been around a few years as Legacy before changing their name to Testament and swapping singers from Steve “Zetro” Sousa, who left to join Exodus, and bringing in then unknown Chuck Billy. The album features some timeless tracks and highlights Billy’s killer vox along with Alex Skolnick’s lead work. “Burnt Offerings” has been a favorite of mine since hearing the original demo version back in 1985.
