The 3rd And The Mortal - Painting On Glass (1996)

This album was my entry into The 3rd And The Mortal from a CDr trading group I was part of in the early 2000s, for a brief time and this one remains my favorite from the band, despite some other amazing works they have produced. The albums highlights the band’s evolution as they explored more complex, layered compositions, moving away from their earlier doom-laden sound into something more ethereal and experimental. With haunting female vocals, rich soundscapes, and a focus on mood and texture, the album creates an immersive experience, evoking a sense of melancholy and introspection. Fantastic release!

2017 Spanish reissue from Alone Records.
