The Oath were a super short lived band based out of Germany. Essentially a collaboration between German singer Johanna Sadonis and Swedish guitarist Linnéa Olsson with some orchestration by Rise Above Records mainman Lee Dorian. The resulting self titled album is strong, with shades of doom, stoner, and discordant riffage that falls somewhere between John Christ of Danzig’s classic solo band and Piggy from Voïvod. If you like it heavy and a shade occult… dig into this one!
