This is the original release of Jar Of Flies on vinyl, which included the previously released Sap EP, that had come out on CD & cassette in 1992. Both EPs feature strong acoustic ventures from AIC and are excellent, but Jar Of Flies really illustrates the band’s strengths in songcraft and diversity of sound. The album is rich, engaging, memorable, and sold a shit ton, cementing the band’s commercial success without sacrificing their artistic integrity one iota.
Original 1994 US pressing from Columbia. For some reason I bought this brand new on vinyl when Jar Of Flies first released. I can still remember putting it on the hifi as it was the very first album I purchased in 1994.
