The self-titled Can album, often referred to as Inner Space, was released in 1979 and is the band’s eleventh studio album. It represents the final record from Can’s original run before their reunion years later. The album blends funk, jazz, and world music influences with a more polished and structured sound, not unlike its predecessor, Out Of Reach. Though not as groundbreaking as their early 70s work, it’s a decent little album. Very chill. Sadly, the band will split after this… actually, they split even before its release, but the story of Can is not over.
2014 European reissue from Spoon Records.
