Following the departure of vocalist Damo Suzuki, the band embraced a more instrumental and atmospheric approach, with Holger Czukay, Michael Karoli, and Irmin Schmidt taking on vocal duties sparingly. The album blends the band’s trademark experimental rock with elements of jazz, ambient, and world music, resulting in a dreamy yet rhythmically intricate soundscape. Not as wild as the Damo Suzuki or Malcolm Mooney material, but good to bear the band work it out new ideas without limitations.
2014 US reissue from Mute/Spoon Records. Nice silver foil cover makes it hard to photograph, haha.
