Recorded during a live performance in Hawaii, this album captures a unique fusion of Latin rock, funk, and blues, creating a raw and electrifying atmosphere. While not as polished as Santana’s studio albums, this live recording embodies the unrestrained creativity and spontaneity of the era, making it a memorable and exciting collaboration between two iconic musicians. Not everyone loves this album, and it has some issues, but it stands on its own as a document of thr spirit of the times.
1972 US pressing on Columbia. Picked this up in September from my local vinyl garage and it’s taken me this long to get to it. Sounds great!
