Electric Sun - Fire Wind (1981)

Fire Wind is the second album (2 of 3) by Uli John Roth’s Electric Sun. Like it predecessor, the band is a power trio, almost the same lineup as the debut, but with new drummer Sidhatta Gautama replacing Clive Edwards.  The album is fantastic! Maybe not as compelling as the first, but still and an engaging listen, end to end. Uli’s singing limitations are a bit more evident here, but you can get a really good sense of what he’s getting at, vocally. If he had someone like Ian Gillan or Bruce Dickinson singing, the album would absolutely bullet proof.

1981 French pressing on EMI. I think I bought this in the 1980s with no idea as to what it was. I remember it was cheap, looked cool, and initially disappointed me. Hah!
