Ambient 2: The Plateaux Of Mirror is a collaborative album by Harold Budd and Brian Eno as the second installment in Eno’s groundbreaking Ambient series. The album showcases Budd’s ethereal piano compositions, subtly processed and enhanced by Eno’s masterful use of studio techniques to create lush, dreamlike atmospheres. Eschewing traditional structures, the music flows in a gentle, impressionistic manner, evoking images of serene landscapes and quiet introspection.
1980 US pressing from Editions EG. I just picked this up and am celebrating a little as it’s been long on my list and was the final LP of the series that I did not yet have. Has some mystery schmutz at the top of the sleeve, but the LP is primo and all is otherwise perfect.
