Judas Priest - Painkiller (1990)

After longtime drummer Dave Holland’s departure from Priest in 1989 they brought in former Racer X drummer Scott Travis who brought an entirely different style of playing to the band. The resulting Painkiller album shows the band completely reinvigorated, featuring some of the band’s best songwriting is ages. Pushing everything over the edge is the the fact that everyone seems to be playing at the top of their game! Travis’ drumming is nuts, Downing & Tipton are absolutely crushing it, and Halford’s vocal delivery is some of the best he’s ever delivered! This is the album Priest fans had been waiting for since Defenders Of The Faith. An absolute juggernaut!

2017 worldwide reissue from Columbia and it’s a beautiful thing! Perfect pressing.
