Judas Priest - Priest… Live! (1987)

Priest… Live! captures Judas Priest at the height of their arena-rock dominance during the 1986 Fuel for Life tour, supporting their Turbo album. The album focuses heavily on their more commercial, synth-infused material from the Turbo and Defenders of the Faith eras, with hits like “Turbo Lover,” “Freewheel Burning,” and “Love Bites” taking center stage. Still, classics like “Breaking the Law” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’” are also featured, maintaining a connection to their earlier, rawer sound. The production is polished, emphasizing the larger-than-life energy of their performances, with Rob Halford’s powerful vocals and the dual guitar attack of Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing cutting through the mix. While slickly produced, the album doesn’t really represent what Love about Priest, but not a bad spin every now and then.

1987 US pressing from Columbia Records.
