Motion Pool is a groundbreaking album that blurs the lines between ambient, drone, and post-rock. Main moves away from conventional rock structures to explore abstract textures and sonic minimalism. The album kicks out hypnotic layers of treated guitars, subtle feedback, and atmospheric drones, creating a soundscape that feels both mechanical and organic. One of the greatest albums of the 1990s for me and a totally immersive experience, end to end!
Original (only) UK vinyl pressing from Beggars Banquet. I landed this at A-1 Records in NYC some years back for like $20 and still cannot believe it! An absolute gem of a record!
