Vernal Crossing is built around looping textures, hypnotic beats, and layered atmospheres, creating a meditative journey that feels both ancient and futuristic. Drawing on Robin Storey’s background in the influential industrial group Zoviet France, Vernal Crossing incorporates elements of world music and minimalism, blending them into an otherworldly sonic tapestry.The album’s deep, resonant drones and subtle melodic shifts evoke a sense of wandering through vast, arid landscapes and making for a super engaging listen. Only have a couple of Rapoon albums on vinyl, but hope to fix that someday. Fantastic music, sound, exploration.
