While 1990 isn’t known as a great year for thrash metal, Sacrifice bucks the lame haze with Soldiers Of Misfortune. A beautifully refined, yet still completely brutal thrash attack. The album blends the band’s aggressive thrash roots with more technical and progressive elements. Its intricate riffing, tight compositions, and socially conscious lyrics explore themes of war, oppression, and societal decay, marking it as a standout at the time. Love it.
