Building on the raw aggression of their debut War and Pain, RrröööaarrR showcases Voïvod’s growth in technical skill and their willingness to push boundaries within the thrash and speed metal genres. RrröööaaarrR hints at the experimental and progressive elements that would define their later works while remaining fiercely rooted in raw, uncompromising thrash. This is my entry to the chaos of Voïvod and remains crucial to my own perception of music and art to this day. Yes, I am fucked in the brain!
1986 US pressing from Combat/Noise. I have two 1997 pressings of this LP, similar to, but with different inserts. This copy has Noise mailorder sheets, while the other has a Voïvod lyrics sheet and a photo collage. Both sound awesome.
