Going Back to Colorado is the second album by Zephyr and it captures the band refining their blend of blues rock, jazz, and psychedelic influences. Marked by a more polished production compared to their debut, the album features the soaring, emotive vocals of Candy Givens and the exceptional guitar work of Tommy Bolin, whose playing continues to evolve with inventive solos and rich textures. Though the album did not achieve widespread success at the time, it smokes nonetheless. Great heavy blues rock, without a doubt.
