The self-titled debut album by Baker Gurvitz Army, boasts a powerful blend of hard rock, blues, and progressive influences, driven by Ginger Baker’s thunderous drumming and Adrian Gurvitz’s fiery guitar work. The album strikes a fine balance between raw energy and refined composition, setting the stage for the band’s short-lived but impactful career. If you dig Cream and/or the Gurvitz brother previous band Gun, you’ll find much to love here as well.
1975 US pressing from Janus Records. Everything I can find says this was released in 1974, but all pressings shown on Discogs start at 1975, huh. Killer record and I sort of love the post-apocalyptic cover art.
