Elysian Encounter picks up where the Baker Gurvitz Army debut left off, but I’d say it’s slightly more progressive, varied, and crisp. Armed with new singer Snips, the band delivers a blend of progressive rock, hard rock, and elements of funk, highlighting their shared musical versatility and talents. I don’t believe this one ever really charted or had much commercial success, but it’s a smokin’ little LP!
1975 US pressing on Atco Records. Another cool cover with this one too.
