Boris - Flood (2000)

Flood is an immersive journey through atmospheric heavy rock and experimental drone that feels like being carried along by an ever-changing tide. The album flows seamlessly as one continuous piece, shifting between delicate, melodic passages and heavier, distorted waves of sound. It’s meditative and sprawling, pulling you deeper with each subtle shift in tone and intensity. Boris has a long history of morphing stylistically, but there is something very special about their early transformative material that always pulls me in. Flood is part of this.

2021 US reissue from Third Man Records. Sounds great and comes in a nice tri-fold gatefold cover sleeve.
