Count Raven - Destruction Of The Void (1992)

Destruction Of The Void delivers a powerful blend of heavy, melancholic riffs and lyrical themes exploring existential and spiritual struggles. Drawing clear influence from Black Sabbath, the album combines a classic doom sound with a distinct melodic sensibility. The record’s dynamic compositions balance crushing heaviness with moments of eerie beauty, creating an atmosphere that is both oppressive and introspective. I’ve been hitting the doom metal pipe pretty hard lately, it seems. Much to love!

2018 US/EU reissue from Metal Blade Records and it’s quite nice. Decided I needed more Count Raven after stumbling across a copy of Storm Warning while in Chicago back in November. So good!
