Judgement Of The Dead is a haunting and mystical journey into the darker realms of heavy music. Rooted in the early doom sound pioneered by Black Sabbath, the album blends slow, crushing riffs with an eerie, almost folkloric atmosphere and a shade of the NWOBHM vibe of the time. I struggle a little as to where to classify Pagan Alter… somewhere in the neighborhood of Witchfinder General, maybe. Good shit, a little weird.
2024 German reissue from Dying Victims Productions and it’s nice pressing and includes a cool booklet and a poster, sticker, etc.
