Apocalypse Inside was the last album Sacrifice recorded before splitting up until about 2006. Even here, drummer Gus Pynn has left the band and was replaced by Michael Rosenthal. Still, the album is solid entry to the band’s discography. A bit mid-paced with a choice to highlight heavy riffs over speed and technicality, but the 1990s were particularly rough on thrash metal bands. Produced by Dave Carlo of Razor and the production holds up nicely for what it is. While unquestionably the least ferocious Sacrifice studio album, it’s still leaves above tons of other releases at the time.
2019 Greek reissue from Floga Records and it’s absolutely fantastic. Floga is low-key excellent with their metal reissues. Always.
