The self-titled ‘72 album by The Jeff Beck Group is a rich blend of blues, rock, and soul, Featuring gritty guitar work from Jeff Beck, soulful vocals from Bobby Tench, and tight grooves courtesy of bassist Clive Chaman and legendary drummer Cozy Powell. Its laid-back yet powerful energy reflects the group’s maturity and chemistry, offering a sound that feels both polished and full of raw emotion. Honestly, ten years ago I wouldn’t have expected to be digging an album like this as much as I do.
