This is the second installment in this limited series of released. This is of course the preproduction demos for the Nothingface album. The songs seem more worked out here than they do with the Angel Rat demos, so my guess is that this was recorded closer to album recording sessions. However, “Inner Combustion” is drastically different and a good bit of the lyrics, and even a bit of the bass parts are different than they are on the album proper… there’s actually a lot to take in. Fucking awesome stuff!
Edit: I am retracting my previous statement (crossed out). This version of Nothingface is mind blowing… for me. Once I started noticing the differences, I realized they are massive! The glimpse into this part of the artistic process of Voïvod in 1989 is bananas cool.
