Wishbone Four marked a departure from the band’s earlier, more progressive sound. The album leans more heavily into folk and acoustic influences, with a focus on songwriting and melody rather than the intricate twin-guitar harmonies that defined their previous work, such as Argus, their masterpiece. Produced by the band themselves, Wishbone Four received mixed reviews upon release, but has held up alright over the decades and is certainly worth a listen.
1973 US pressing from MCA Records.
