Zapped is an eclectic collection of songs by artists signed to Frank Zappa’s Straight Records back in 1970 and I suppose it was meant as a typical label sampler, except that it feels like it was personally curated by Zappa himself. It’s a wild selection artist playing their non-hits and the tracks are arranged in a way that maximizes contrast between them. Unique piece of music history here and a fantastic collection of lunatics within the the sphere of Zappa’s world at the time. Recommend if you are looking for some avant-garde wackiness.
