Sulle Corde Di Aries marks a pivotal moment in Franco Battiato’s early experimental phase, blending progressive rock, electronic music, and minimalist composition into a fluid, boundary-pushing sound. The album consists of four long tracks that weave together hypnotic synthesizers, unconventional time signatures, and ethereal vocals, creating some otherworldly vibes. I had initially read that this album was a bit “out there” and maybe it is for some folks, but it makes for an engaging and enjoyable listen on my hi-fi.
2017 Italian reissue from Legacy/RCA/Sony Music Italy and it’s a beauty.
