Small Craft On A Milk Sea finds Brian Eno collaborating with Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams to create an album that blends ambient textures with dynamic, often unpredictable bursts of percussive energy. Drawing inspiration from film soundtracks, the record moved fluidly between haunting atmospheric pieces like “Emerald and Lime” and harsher, more chaotic tracks such as “2 Forms of Anger.” It’s a bit of a ride compared to much of Eno’s quiet, more contemplative works at the time, but an enjoyable listen, end to end.
