Geezer Butler - Plastic Planet (1995)

Plastic Planet marks Geezer Butler’s first ever solo album (originally released under the G//Z/R moniker) and it’s a modern metallic affair, highlighting Butler’s interest in dystopian technology themes with shades of industrial groove metal and of course, a slice of Black Sabbath. The core band is made up of Butler, guitarist Pedro Howse, and drummer Deen Castronovo (mostly known for his time with Journey). To deliver the vox, they brought in Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory and he proves to be an excellent choice. Not sure what I expected back when I bought this, but I loved it at the time and still really dig it plenty.

2020 European pressing (first time on vinyl) from BMG and it sounds awesome.
