Spyglass Guest expands on Greenslade’s signature fusion of rock, jazz, and symphonic elements, with intricate keyboard arrangements and dynamic shifts in mood. Still taking this one in, but it’s a solid listen and makes me wish I had dug into Greenslade decades back instead of just a few years ago.
1974 (non laminated) UK pressing on Warner Bros. I got this just yesterday for $6 at a little record show near my house. The cover is beat up and I feared the record itself would be rough since there was no inner sleeve and the cover has a seam split, but holy shit, it’s nearly perfect.
