Lady builds on Jane’s signature blend of atmospheric keyboards, melodic guitar work, and hypnotic rhythms. The album carries a dreamy, almost meditative quality, with extended instrumental passages that drift between spacey ambiance and blues-infused rock.Jane is a curious case of 1970s heavy space rock. They seem a band that had nearly all the ingredients for mega-stardom, but fell short… and just barely, like they had something that was cooking but didn’t take off. Not a band I connected with instantly, but hot damn they’ve really brought me onboard over the years.
1975 German pressing from Brain. Took my a good while to track this LP down in the wild. Finally found it while on a work trip in London a couple of years ago and it’s a beauty.
